Question:
Does anybody know of a charter place or a person willing to charter
her/his boat in eastern Connetticut or Rhode Island? I'd like to go to
Block Island for 3 days sometime in October.
I am looking for a 35' or so sail boat for approximately 6 people.
Any hints for Block Island are also appreciated (I only sailed around
it so far).

I have no connection with this outfit except to say that I keep my boat at
the same marina. Sailing time from East Passage to Block varies from 5 to 8
hours. At this time of year, you are much more likely to get winds from the NW
instead of the SW as is usual for that area. If you don't watch out, you
_could_ end up beating out to Block Island AND back!
