Question:
Rajin Cajun Bass Boat
I recently purchased a brand new 1997 Rajin Cajun 175 (17'11'') with a 135L
Mariner. It has a Lowrance 1240ABK depth finder, Motor Guide 756 GM (56 lbs
thrust)trolling motor, stainless steel prop, Dual-pro battery charger,
Trailboss trailer w/spare and aluminum wheels. It has only been in the water
once and that was when I had the engine hung in September. It went about 65
mph.
I am going to have to sell the boat but I don't know what it is really worth.
I purchased it with no hull warranty from the manufacturer (because it was a
repo from a dealer that stopped making payments on it) but the engine and
other components still have the full warranty.
I would like some feedback on what I should expect to get for the boat. I
also have access to a few more that are pre-rigged for Suzuki engines.
Answer:
- I always did like Cajuns. Unfortunatly I really can't tell
you what the boat is worth as it stands now. I can, however, tell you
what it'll be worth if you let me and The RodMaker have a go at it for
a few hours
-I don't think that it has any real value and you won't be able to resell it
without it costing you. I, however, can feel your pain so I will be glad to
take it off your hands. Where can I pick it up?
-Should we leave the transom intact? Just found out what
it will cost to repair my trim unit,About $35.00 & change, Think I'd
better wait awhile though. Since I will have to pull the motor off to do
the repairs, this gives me the excuse Iv'e been lookin for to do some
extensive remodeling.
Oh yea I bet I have one of the 1st true bass boats to come out of
production. It's a 74' Venture with an 84' Mariner 75hp. It ain't no
Bassin Dreadnought but it serves the purpose
